Paul’s Music

Below is a list of most of my published music. Some of these tracks are as finished as I could make them, others are half-baked ideas I threw together in a single sitting (and never had a will to go back to), but which were in some way redeeming enough to bounce down into an mp3. Hopefully you will enjoy all of them, as I greatly enjoyed making them. I am listing them here in (rough) chronological order, with the most recent at the top.

These days I make my songs in Ableton Live and mix them in Adobe Audition (when I get that far - I’m terrible at finishing things). I use an Emu 0404 sound card, a Korg Electribe SMKII, an Emu X-board 49, and lots and lots of soft synths and effects plugins (many of which I thank Computer Music magazine for). If anyone ever wants to know more about a specific track, please just let me know, I’m more than happy to tell folk about how I put stuff together! The tracks above from 2004/05 were made in Sony Acid and Sound Forge, and the one’s from 2000/01 were done in Digidesign Pro Tools.

If you listen to the tracks above you will note that I don’t really have a specific ’style,’ but rather jump all over the map. This is fine with me because I’m not trying to sell my music, I make it because I love to do so.

If anyone has anything at all to say about any of the above tracks please leave a comment! I don’t really share my music much, so I’d really love to hear what people think.

    Hi,

This is the English bloke at the bookstore that sold you the latest Computer Music… had a listen to some of your songs; good stuff!
